60 Earth Hour

Carrefour has joined with BMA and WWF Thailand to support the 60 Earth Hour climate change campaign for the second year which encourages people to turn off all non essential lights and appliances for one hour on 28 March, between 8 – 9 pm. Carrefour has already lead by example in its efforts, reducing lighting by 50% by switching off lighting on all available occasions and changing store lights to more energy efficient fluorescent lights, which will reduce CO2 emissions by about 10,730,000 kgs per year.
